Opening Note
Today’s Theme: Choose What Deserves Your Fire
Sunday arrives as the Moon is hanging out with Aries who has apparently climbed onto the coffee table with the microphone, a determined face, a box of matches and no interest in talking it over first 😅
Libra is rolling her eyes while quietly moving everything away from the flame. Virgo has located the fire extinguisher. Saturn has arrived with a clipboard. And Jupiter is shouting encouragements from the audience. 😂
After several days of emotional intensity, exhaustion and uncertainty, today may bring a noticeable return of motivation, confidence or personal agency.
Something inside us wants to move.
We may be tired of processing. Tired of waiting. Tired of not knowing. Tired of feeling as though circumstances, responsibilities or other people’s needs have been deciding what happens next.
The fire returning is not a problem. But the fire may not automatically know where it belongs.
A match can light a candle, warm a home, illuminate a path or burn through something we were not prepared to lose.
Today’s sky is not asking us to extinguish our fire.
It is asking us to choose what deserves it.
The Heart Energy
Aries Moon: Action After Immersion
The Moon spends all of Sunday in Aries, ending the long Pisces drift and restoring a stronger desire for movement, autonomy and direct experience. Pisces absorbed everything.
Aries wants to do something about it.
We may feel more:
Motivated
Assertive
Restless
Independent
Courageous
Physically energized
Impatient with uncertainty
Protective of our time
Willing to try something new
Ready to reclaim personal control
The emotional response becomes faster and more immediate. Instead of wondering how we feel, we may discover that our body has already stood up, grabbed the keys and begun walking toward the door.
That can be deeply helpful after an eclipse week that left many people emotionally saturated or energetically depleted. Aries reminds us that we are still capable of choosing.
But Aries can also mistake movement for direction.
The first thing we feel motivated to do may reveal something important without being the entire answer.
A Waning Moon in an Initiating Sign
Although the Moon is in Aries, we are still within the waning Full Moon phase following Thursday night’s Pisces lunar eclipse. This creates an important contradiction.
Aries says: “Begin.”
The waning eclipse cycle says: “First understand what the ending revealed.”
Today may bring the first impulse to act upon something illuminated during the eclipse.
We may want to:
Change an unsustainable arrangement
Address a conversation we postponed
Reclaim energy from an old responsibility
Try a different approach
Act upon a truth we can no longer ignore
Stop managing something that is already complete
Take the first step toward what is becoming possible
That movement can be aligned. But the eclipse story is still unfolding. We do not have to turn one clear step into a permanent ten-year plan before lunch.
The Early-Morning Moon: Depth, Intuition and Breakthrough
During the early morning, the Aries Moon moves through a rapid sequence of contacts with Pluto, Neptune and Uranus.
Around 2:01 a.m. Pacific, the Moon sextiles Pluto in Aquarius.
Around 2:19 a.m., it conjoins Neptune in Aries.
Around 5:49 a.m., it sextiles Uranus in Gemini.
Something deeper may have moved overnight.
We may awaken with:
A vivid dream
A strong emotional impression
A sudden realization
An unexpected idea
The sense that something has changed
A desire to break an old pattern
A new understanding of what the eclipse revealed
An impulse that feels meaningful before we can explain it
Pluto brings the deeper truth. Neptune opens the intuitive and imaginative field. Uranus delivers the electrical spark. Together they can create the feeling that an entirely new path has suddenly appeared.
It may have.
But Neptune remains part of the sequence, which means inspiration and projection may temporarily share the same voice. The idea deserves our attention. But it may not yet have complete authority.
Moon Square Ceres: “But Everyone Needs Me”
Around 7:11 a.m. Pacific, the Aries Moon squares Ceres in Cancer.
Aries asks: “What do I need?”
Ceres in Cancer replies: “That is lovely, but have you considered the seventeen people, three animals and one household situation currently depending upon you?”
This can bring personal desire into tension with caregiving, family needs or emotional responsibility.
We may feel:
Interrupted
Unappreciated
Over needed
Guilty for wanting personal time
Frustrated by someone else’s dependency
Torn between rest and responsibility
Angry that our energy is continually allocated before we receive any
The irritation may contain useful information. It does not necessarily mean we do not love the people involved. It may mean the existing system relies too heavily upon our willingness to continually override ourselves.
Moon Quincunx Sun: Aries Meets Virgo
Around 8:47 a.m. Pacific, the Aries Moon forms an exact quincunx with the Virgo Sun. Aries has the match but...
Virgo would like to know:
What are we lighting?
Why are we lighting it?
Is there a safer method?
Have we read the instructions?
Do we have adequate ventilation?
Why was none of this placed on the calendar?
Aries would like Virgo to stop ruining the moment. 😂
Emotionally, we may be ready to move. But in practicality, something may still need adjustment.
This can feel like:
Motivation without an organized plan
Knowing what needs to change without knowing how
Wanting to act while noticing important complications
Feeling annoyed by questions that are genuinely necessary
Attempting to perfect the plan before taking any step
Acting quickly simply because remaining uncertain feels unbearable
The Aries Moon and Virgo Sun are not enemies. Aries supplies courage. Virgo helps courage become useful. Take an action small enough to remain adjustable.
Mind and Body
The Sun and Mercury Separate from Uranus: What Do We Do with the Revelation?
The Virgo Sun and Mercury are separating from their squares with Uranus in Gemini.
The most electrically disruptive portion of this pattern has passed, but our minds and nervous systems may still be buzzing.
Something may have changed our interpretation. Information may have arrived unexpectedly. A plan may no longer fit. A truth may have broken through the story we were using to make sense of our circumstances.
Now the question becomes: “What do I do with what I know?”
The mind may be eager to regain control by immediately building a plan. But an eclipse realization can be accurate without our first proposed response being the only response available.
We can trust the truth without rushing the implementation.
Mercury Approaches Mars: The Idea Wants Action
Mercury in Virgo is moving toward a supportive sextile with Mars in Cancer. This helps us translate thought into action.
We may feel better able to:
Identify a practical next step
Have a direct conversation
Organize a task
Solve a problem
Advocate for someone
Put an emotional understanding into words
Make a list that is actually useful
Turn an idea into something tangible
This is productive energy. But Mars is simultaneously moving into a square with Saturn. The mind may create an excellent plan before recognizing how much time, energy, money or assistance it requires.
That does not make the plan wrong.
It means the plan needs to include reality.
Moon Quincunx Mercury: The Mouth Finds the Matchbox
Around 2:46 p.m. Pacific, the Aries Moon forms a quincunx with Mercury in Virgo. This is a moment when words may come out faster, sharper or more forcefully than intended.
We may:
Speak before gathering all the information
Become defensive when someone asks a question
Correct details while missing the emotional point
Overexplain a simple boundary
Treat hesitation as opposition
Demand immediate understanding
Send the message while still emotionally activated
Mistake directness for accuracy
Aries has many gifts. Subtle editing is not always among them.
Before sending the message, ask: “Am I communicating what I need or releasing the pressure of needing it?”
Both may be honest, but they do not necessarily create the same outcome.
Cardinal Energy Is Strong: The Body Wants Movement
Today’s sky has a strong cardinal emphasis. Cardinal energy initiates. It dislikes stagnation and wants to interact with circumstances directly. Meanwhile, the Pisces waterline is receding.
That does not necessarily mean the emotions from the eclipse have disappeared. It may mean we have less patience for sitting with them.
The body may want:
Physical activity
Fresh air
A change of scenery
A manageable challenge
Something to clean, move or organize
A task with a visible result
A way to discharge nervous energy
Give the fire a physical outlet. Movement can help us distinguish genuine motivation from emotional agitation.
Action and Healing
Mars Approaches Saturn: The Fire Meets the Wall
Mars in Cancer is approaching a square with Saturn retrograde in Aries, becoming exact early Tuesday.
Mars in Cancer acts from care, loyalty, protectiveness and emotional urgency. Saturn in Aries asks whether the action is sustainable, appropriate and genuinely ours to perform.
This may feel like:
Wanting to help but lacking capacity
Becoming frustrated by a delay
Feeling blocked by family responsibilities
Attempting to push through physical exhaustion
Resenting the limits imposed by time or money
Wanting immediate progress while circumstances require patience
Interpreting a boundary as rejection
Believing we must work harder when the method itself needs to change
Aries likes to respond to a wall by backing up and running toward it faster. 😅
Saturn, unfazed and unmoved, will continue holding the clipboard.
The wall is not necessarily saying no to the goal. It may be saying no to the way we are attempting to reach it.
Anger Is a Match, Not a Map
The Aries Moon’s evening square to Mars may bring irritation, anger or defensiveness closer to the surface.
Anger can reveal:
A violated boundary
An unmet need
An unfair expectation
Accumulated exhaustion
Something we have continually agreed to but no longer consent to
A truth we have been attempting to make more socially acceptable
A responsibility that belongs to more than one person
Anger contains energy and information. But anger does not automatically contain the complete strategy. Let it show you where the fire began. Then decide consciously where the fire goes.
Vesta Retrograde: Protecting the Sacred Flame
Vesta remains retrograde in Aries. Vesta represents devotion; the sacred flame of what we protect, serve and continually give life energy toward.
Retrograde Vesta asks us to examine:
What am I devoted to?
What receives my best energy?
Has commitment become obligation?
Am I feeding something that continually consumes me?
Which responsibility has become disconnected from its original purpose?
Am I using exhaustion as evidence that something matters?
What would allow my devotion to remain alive without destroying me in the process?
Not everything we can sustain deserves to be sustained. Sometimes protecting the sacred flame means becoming more selective about what is permitted to use it.
Relationships and Collective Energy
Venus Opposite Pallas: Libra and Aries Negotiate
Venus in Libra opposed Pallas in Aries during the early morning. This is the sky’s literal Libra–Aries conversation.
Venus in Libra asks: “How will this affect everyone?”
Pallas in Aries responds: “I have identified the problem, designed the solution and already ordered the matching clipboard.”
Venus values mutuality, fairness, peace and relational awareness. Pallas in Aries recognizes patterns quickly and develops an independent strategy.
We may feel torn between:
Maintaining harmony and trusting our own judgment
Consulting everyone and acting upon what we already know
Preserving the relationship and protecting our autonomy
Being considerate and becoming endlessly accommodating
Moving independently and acknowledging the effect upon others
True harmony does not require self-abandonment. But personal freedom does not require unnecessary destruction either.
Libra helps Aries understand impact. Aries helps Libra stop negotiating away its truth.
Jupiter Approaches Saturn: Give the Dream Somewhere to Live
Jupiter in Leo is moving into an exact trine with Saturn in Aries on Monday afternoon. This is one of the most constructive aspects in the current sky.
Jupiter says: “Think bigger.”
Saturn says: “Then build something capable of holding it.”
Together they support:
Creative confidence with a realistic plan
Hope supported by boundaries
Expansion paced sustainably
Leadership grounded in responsibility
A larger vision broken into workable steps
Taking ourselves seriously without requiring immediate perfection
Growth that does not depend upon continual overextension
The dream does not need to become smaller. The structure may just need to become stronger.
The Evening Crescendo
Between approximately 6:38 and 8:17 p.m. Pacific, the Moon activates Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. This allows us to emotionally experience the larger planetary story unfolding over the next several days.
Around 6:38 p.m.: Moon Square Mars
Emotions heat up.
We may feel impatient, defensive or frustrated, particularly around family, care, personal autonomy or responsibilities that interfere with what we wanted to do.
The feeling may be valid. Its first delivery may not be useful. Move the energy before using it to make a decision.
Around 7:54 p.m.: Moon Trine Jupiter
Confidence and hope rise.
A solution may appear. Something feels possible again. We may become generous, enthusiastic, playful or inspired.
This can be beautiful.
It can also convince Aries that one good idea requires immediate registration as a business, three social-media accounts and merchandise before bedtime.
Let possibility expand. Avoid converting hope into an obligation.
Around 8:17 p.m.: Moon Conjunct Saturn
Twenty-three minutes later, the Moon meets Saturn. The practical requirement becomes visible.
We may recognize:
The actual cost
The necessary boundary
The time commitment
The responsibility involved
The part of the plan that needs revision
What must be delegated
What we cannot continue carrying
The difference between enthusiasm and readiness
This is not necessarily disappointment. It may be definition. Jupiter shows us what could grow. Saturn shows us how to keep it alive.
Supportive Actions for Today
Move your body before making an emotionally charged decision.
Acknowledge or write down the idea without immediately making it a commitment.
Choose one action that will produce useful information.
Give yourself a task with a visible beginning and ending.
Ask whether urgency belongs to the situation or your nervous system.
Let anger identify the boundary before deciding how to communicate it.
Wait ten minutes before sending the message.
Separate what excites you from what obligates you.
Notice whether care has become automatic self-sacrifice.
Let practical questions strengthen the plan.
Define what you are not willing to give the new idea.
Avoid turning one energized day into evidence of unlimited capacity.
Leave some fire in reserve.
Remember that a slower path can still be a courageous one.
A Thought to Sit With
What deserves the part of you capable of setting an entire life in motion?
Soul 101 Coaching Tip
Create three short lists:
What lights me up: What creates genuine energy, curiosity, meaning or desire?
What burns me out: What repeatedly consumes energy without creating restoration, growth or meaningful exchange?
What deserves one match today: Choose one thing, not everything, that deserves a small, intentional action.
Then define the action carefully.
Not: “Fix my entire life.”
But perhaps:
Send one message.
Create one page.
State one boundary.
Complete one task.
Research one option.
Take one walk.
Remove one unnecessary obligation.
Give one honest answer.
The purpose is not to prove how much fire you possess.
It is to learn what happens when you direct it consciously.

Not sure of your Rising Sign? You can use the free birth-chart tool on the Soul 101 Astrology page. Your Rising Sign helps identify which area of life the current sky is activating most personally for you. https://soul101.life/astrology
Aries Rising: The Moon in your sign may bring your energy, emotions and personal needs directly to the surface. You may feel ready to reclaim control, but family or household responsibilities could challenge your momentum. Let renewed confidence reconnect you with joy without assigning yourself more than your body can sustain.
Taurus Rising: The Aries Moon moves through your private 12th house, so the fire may be working behind the scenes. Dreams, intuition or old emotions may reveal what is ready to change. Resist the belief that every internal realization requires external action. Rest may be where the new strategy is forming.
Gemini Rising: Friends, community and future plans may awaken your enthusiasm. A new idea could arrive through conversation or connection. Money, worth or personal capacity may complicate immediate implementation. Let the possibility remain larger than the first available method.
Cancer Rising: Career, visibility or direction may feel newly energized. With Mars in your sign approaching Saturn, you may feel personally responsible for forcing progress. Leadership does not require carrying every task. A financial or creative possibility can grow if the structure includes your actual capacity.
Leo Rising: The Aries Moon restores hope, perspective and a desire for expansion. You may feel ready to travel, teach, learn or pursue a larger vision. Jupiter in your sign supports confidence, but private exhaustion may still be influencing what you can realistically do. Let inspiration return without using it to escape the need for recovery.
Virgo Rising: Shared resources, trust, vulnerability or emotional obligations may require decisive attention. You may want to define an agreement or reclaim power from an entanglement. Friends or future plans could place additional demands upon you. Make the boundary clear without assuming you must solve every consequence today.
Libra Rising: Relationships hold the matchbox today. Someone else’s urgency, confidence or frustration may activate your own needs. Notice where maintaining peace has required continuous accommodation. You can consider another person’s experience without allowing it to overrule your truth.
Scorpio Rising: Work, health and daily responsibilities receive a burst of energy. You may feel ready to catch up on everything at once. Choose one useful task rather than turning Sunday into unpaid overtime for every obligation you have ever accepted. A career opportunity grows through sustainable routines, not repeated depletion.
Sagittarius Rising: Creativity, joy, romance, children or self-expression call your fire forward. Let yourself want something. Shared money, emotional obligation or another person’s needs may complicate the freedom you seek. The larger future remains possible, but intimacy and support require honest agreements.
Capricorn Rising: Home, family and emotional foundations may need action. You may want to clean, organize, confront or change something immediately. Relationship tension can reveal where responsibility has become uneven. Support may be available, but receiving it will require releasing the belief that competence means doing everything yourself.
Aquarius Rising: Ideas, conversations and decisions move quickly. You may feel unusually direct or mentally energized. Work and health demands can compete with relational opportunities. Communicate clearly, but avoid turning another person’s question into evidence that they oppose your direction.
Pisces Rising: Money, worth and personal resources come into focus after an eclipse that may have left you feeling emotionally exposed. You may feel motivated to earn, spend, price, organize or prove your value. Creative energy can support practical improvement, but your worth does not depend upon how quickly you convert inspiration into productivity.
Signs Feeling It Most
Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn may feel the cardinal pressure most strongly. The desire to act is real, but relationships, care, responsibility and practical limits must all be included in the decision.
Leo and Sagittarius may feel the fire returning as optimism, creativity or renewed confidence. The opportunity is meaningful. Keep the promise proportional to the available capacity.
Virgo, Pisces and Gemini may still be integrating the eclipse and Uranian revelations. Today’s impulse may show you where the energy wants to move, but the full meaning remains in development.
A Note From Mandy
Fire is not bad. Many of us have simply experienced what happens when it is used unconsciously.
We have seen anger become cruelty. Passion become obsession. Ambition become self-abandonment. Care become exhaustion. Devotion become obligation. We may therefore learn to fear our own intensity.
We soften the truth before speaking it. We wait for permission to want something. We continually distribute our energy toward everyone else and call the remaining ember enough for us.
Then one day, the fire returns.
We feel angry.
Motivated.
Creative.
Restless.
Alive.
And because we have not been taught how to hold that much life force consciously, we assume we must either suppress it or immediately act upon everything it demands.
But fire itself is not the problem. Fire is energy. It reveals what matters. It warms what has become cold. It illuminates what could not be seen. It transforms one form into another.
The question is not whether you are allowed to have the fire. The question is whether you will become conscious of where you place it.
Not every situation deserves your confrontation.
Not every responsibility deserves your sacrifice.
Not every idea deserves your commitment.
Not every person deserves unlimited access to your warmth.
And not every version of your life deserves to continue consuming the fuel required for the person you are becoming. Today, allow yourself to feel the fire.
Let it be honest. Let it show you where resentment has accumulated, where desire has been silenced and where life is attempting to move again. But before handing it the entire box of matches, ask what it is truly trying to protect, create or illuminate.
Your fire does not need to prove itself by burning everything down.
Sometimes its greatest power is the steady flame you choose to keep alive.
Looking Ahead
Monday afternoon: Jupiter in Leo forms an exact trine with Saturn retrograde in Aries. Hope and responsibility can cooperate. This supports long-term plans, sustainable expansion and creating structures capable of holding a larger possibility.
Also Monday afternoon: The Aries Moon eventually opposes Venus and begins a void-of-course period. Questions of independence and relationship may require adjustment before the Moon enters Taurus on Tuesday.
Early Tuesday: Mars in Cancer forms an exact square with Saturn in Aries. Care, action and urgency meet a limit. What feels blocked may reveal an inadequate method, insufficient support or a responsibility that cannot continue in its current form.
Tuesday morning: Mercury sextiles Mars, helping us communicate directly and identify practical action after the limitation has been recognized.
Today, the fire returns.
Let Aries sing.
Let Libra balance the fire.
Let Virgo check the instructions.
Let Saturn hold the clipboard.
And then choose consciously, lovingly and courageously, what truly deserves your flame.
