Opening Note

Today’s Theme: What Becomes Visible Changes the Way Forward

Tonight, Earth’s shadow will cover 96.3% of the Pisces Moon’s visible surface, creating a deep partial lunar eclipse that will appear almost total.

But the Moon is not the only thing moving into shadow.

Something within our own lives may be becoming visible precisely because the light is changing.

A truth may surface.

A feeling may finally make sense.

A plan may reveal what it has been quietly costing us.

A conversation may provide the missing information.

Something we have been managing, explaining, forgiving, postponing or attempting to repair may become impossible to understand in the same way.

This does not necessarily mean that everything must end.

It means we cannot continue as though we have not seen what has been shown.

Today’s eclipse does not ask us to fear what may be revealed.

It asks us to become honest enough to let the revelation change the way forward.

The Heart Energy

The Day Has Two Different Chapters

The Moon remains void-of-course in Aquarius through the morning.

This gives us a final period of emotional observation before the Moon enters Pisces and carries us fully into tonight’s eclipse.

Aquarius may help us step back and recognize:

• What has been happening repeatedly

• Which part of the story is observable fact

• What belongs to emotion, expectation or assumption

• Where we have been responding to an old pattern rather than the present moment

• What has become unsustainable

• Which truth we already know but have not completely allowed ourselves to feel

The morning may feel quieter, mentally active or strangely suspended.

Something may become clear before we know what that clarity requires.

Around 12:03 p.m. Pacific, the Moon enters Pisces. The emotional distance begins to dissolve. What we understood intellectually may become something we feel in the body. A realization may be followed by grief, relief, tenderness, exhaustion or an unexpected wave of emotion.

The morning says: “Now I can see it.”

The Pisces Moon asks: “Now that you see it, what does it mean?”

The Pisces Lunar Eclipse: Feeling Becomes Part of the Evidence

The eclipse becomes astrologically exact around 9:18 p.m. Pacific, with the Moon near 4°54′ Pisces opposite the Virgo Sun.

Pisces represents:

• Emotional and intuitive truth

• Compassion

• Grief and surrender

• Dreams, symbols and the unconscious

• What cannot be understood through logic alone

• The places where control no longer produces healing

• The invisible reality beneath visible circumstances

• What the Soul may understand before the mind has language for it

Virgo represents:

• Facts and details

• Discernment

• Health and the body

• Practical responsibilities

• Plans, routines and systems

• What is workable

• What needs adjustment

• The human desire to identify and correct the problem

Neither side is wrong.

Pisces without Virgo can confuse compassion with permission, intuition with assumption, or surrender with helplessness.

Virgo without Pisces can become so focused on improving the arrangement that it never acknowledges when the arrangement itself has become untrue.

Tonight’s eclipse asks: Are you using discernment to honor the truth or using analysis to avoid what the truth requires?

A feeling is not automatically the whole truth.

But a truth that excludes our emotional reality is not whole either.

Understanding Eclipse Season

Why Eclipses Arrive Together

An Eclipse Season is an approximately 35-day period during which the Sun, Moon and Earth are positioned closely enough to the Moon’s orbital nodes for eclipses to occur.

The Moon’s orbit is tilted relative to Earth’s orbit around the Sun. That is why we do not experience an eclipse at every New and Full Moon.

Approximately twice each year, the geometry aligns. A New Moon during that window can produce a solar eclipse, while a Full Moon approximately two weeks later can produce a lunar eclipse.

This Eclipse Season began with the August 12 total solar eclipse in Leo and culminates with tonight’s deep partial lunar eclipse in Pisces.

Astronomically, these eclipses belong to the same alignment window.

Astrologically, they tell a developing story.

The August 12 Leo solar eclipse planted a seed concerning:

• Identity

• Visibility

• Courage

• Creativity

• Leadership

• Joy

• The right to occupy our own lives

• The difference between performing a role and expressing our actual Self

Tonight’s Pisces lunar eclipse reveals what must be felt, completed, released or understood so that seed has somewhere honest to grow.

The solar eclipse asked: “What is trying to come alive?”

The lunar eclipse asks: “What can no longer accompany it in its present form?”

Eclipse Stories Do Not Usually Happen in One Night

An eclipse is not a cosmic punishment or a guarantee that something dramatic will happen at 9:18 tonight.

Some eclipses coincide with visible events. Others bring an internal realization that changes our decisions over the following weeks or months.

Often, the exact eclipse is one chapter within a longer story:

• Something begins stirring before the eclipse.

• Information or emotion reaches a point of culmination near the eclipse.

• The meaning becomes clearer afterward.

• A decision, ending or new direction unfolds over time.

• Later eclipses revisit the same life area from another angle.

This is why we do not need to search the day for catastrophe or interpret every emotion as an omen.

The eclipse may not create a truth.

It may simply illuminate one that has been developing quietly.

The Longer Virgo–Pisces Story

Tonight is also part of a larger eclipse sequence that began in September 2024.

The major Virgo–Pisces lunar eclipses have gradually moved backward through these signs:

• September 17, 2024: Pisces lunar eclipse near 25°

• March 14, 2025: Virgo lunar eclipse near 24°

• September 7, 2025: Pisces lunar eclipse near 15°

• September 21, 2025: Virgo solar eclipse near 29°

• March 3, 2026: Virgo lunar eclipse near 13°

• August 27–28, 2026: Pisces lunar eclipse near 5°

A final, gentler penumbral Virgo lunar eclipse arrives in February 2027, offering one last practical integration point.

Tonight is therefore the final Pisces-side revelation in a story that has been unfolding for almost two years.

Think back to September 2024.

What began changing around:

• Your relationship with responsibility?

• Your body, health or daily life?

• Work, service or caregiving?

• Emotional and spiritual boundaries?

• Compassion and forgiveness?

• Control and surrender?

• The need to fix what could only be accepted?

• The difference between helping and disappearing?

• A dream that required a more practical container?

• An arrangement you kept managing because you did not know how to release it?

Then consider what became clearer in March and September 2025, and what reached another turning point around March 2026.

Tonight may not introduce a completely unrelated problem.

It may reveal what this entire chapter has been attempting to teach.

The Pisces–Virgo story has repeatedly asked us to understand:

• Compassion does not require self-abandonment.

• Acceptance does not mean passivity.

• Responsibility does not create unlimited capacity.

• Intuition needs discernment.

• Practicality must include emotional reality.

• Not everything can be healed by trying harder.

• A system that depends upon continual overextension is not functioning.

• Surrender may mean releasing control, not abandoning conscious participation.

• Something can be understandable without remaining acceptable.

• Completion does not always provide perfect closure.

The final Pisces message may be: You do not have to keep carrying something simply because you understand why it became heavy.

Saros 138: An Older Eclipse Family

What Is a Saros Series?

Every eclipse also belongs to an astronomical family called a Saros series.

A Saros is a repeating pattern created by the orbital rhythms of the Sun, Earth and Moon. After approximately 18 years, 11 days and 8 hours, the geometry becomes similar enough for another eclipse from the same family to occur.

The extra eight hours mean Earth has rotated approximately one-third of the way around, so the next eclipse is usually visible from a different part of the world.

Tonight’s eclipse belongs to Lunar Saros 138.

This family began in 1521 and continues until 2982; an astronomical lifespan of approximately 1,460 years. Every eclipse in this family occurs near the Moon’s ascending node, and each successive eclipse moves slightly deeper through Earth’s shadow before the series eventually begins moving outward again.

Tonight’s eclipse is the 30th member of this long family. It is deeper than the previous Saros 138 eclipse and is gradually approaching the total eclipses this family will eventually produce.

The August 2008 Connection

The previous eclipse in Saros 138 occurred on August 16, 2008. That does not mean tonight repeats the events of 2008.

The two eclipses occurred in different signs and degrees:

• The 2008 eclipse occurred near 24° Aquarius, closely connected with Neptune.

• Tonight’s eclipse occurs near 5° Pisces, while squaring Uranus in Gemini.

The astronomical geometry repeats. The astrological circumstances evolve.

We might think of this less as the Universe replaying the same episode and more as a long-running family of eclipses asking a related developmental question at a new level.

The 2008 eclipse carried strong themes of:

• Belonging and individuality

• Hope and disillusionment

• Friendship and community

• Dreams for the future

• Collective identity

• Recognizing where an ideal did not match reality

• Discovering which people, groups or visions represented who we were becoming

• Learning that wanting to belong could not require abandoning the Self

If you are old enough to remember that period, gently consider:

• What was changing in your life around August 2008?

• Who were you becoming?

• Which relationship, community or future did you believe in?

• Where were you seeking belonging?

• What dream began or began dissolving?

• What truth about yourself were you not yet ready to live?

• Where did hope blur what was actually happening?

• What part of your life changed direction during the months surrounding that eclipse?

You do not need to find an obvious connection. And you do not need to force tonight’s circumstances into an old story. But if a thread naturally appears, tonight may reveal how that story has matured.

Perhaps what began as a question about belonging in 2008 has become a question about emotional truth. Perhaps a dream you held then has reached completion, fulfillment or revision. Perhaps you can now offer your younger self the discernment, boundaries or compassion they did not yet possess.

Perhaps the current revelation is not that 2008 is happening again.

Perhaps it is that you are finally able to respond differently.

Mind and Body

Sun Conjunct Mercury: The Truth Finds Language

Around 10:03 a.m. Pacific, Mercury meets the Virgo Sun.

Mercury is exceptionally strong in Virgo, supporting observation, discernment, communication, editing and practical problem-solving.

This meeting may illuminate:

• A previously overlooked fact

• The source of a repeated problem

• Language for an emotional experience

• A necessary conversation

• The difference between what happened and what we assumed it meant

• A detail that alters the larger interpretation

• What the body has been attempting to communicate

• Why the current method is no longer producing the intended result

But the Moon is still void in Aquarius when the conjunction becomes exact.

We may recognize the information before we understand its emotional significance.

This does not make the realization unreliable. It means the truth may arrive in stages.

First, we see the fact.

Then, we feel what it changes.

Mercury Opposite the Eclipse Moon: Mind and Feeling Must Speak

Mercury remains almost exactly beside the Sun when the eclipse occurs.

This places Mercury in direct opposition to the Pisces Moon.

The mind may say: “These are the facts.”

The heart may reply: “But this is what those facts have required me to carry.”

The mind may say: “This arrangement should work.”

The body may reply: “It does not work for me.”

The mind may say: “I understand why this person behaved that way.”

The heart may reply: “Understanding it does not make it harmless.”

The mind may say: “I should be able to handle this.”

The Soul may reply: “But why have you decided that you must?”

The eclipse does not ask us to choose emotion over reason.

It asks us to allow each to correct what the other cannot see alone.

Uranus Squares the Entire Eclipse: New Information Changes the Story

The Pisces Moon, Virgo Sun and Mercury all square Uranus in Gemini.

This creates an electrically charged mutable T-square.

Uranus can bring:

• Unexpected information

• Sudden schedule changes

• A disruptive conversation

• Technology or communication problems

• Nervous-system overstimulation

• A truth spoken earlier than expected

• An idea that changes our interpretation

• An external event that exposes a weakness in the plan

• A surprising solution

• A sudden need for freedom or space

• Recognition that the old explanation can no longer contain the new reality

Mercury and the Moon perfect their Uranus contacts shortly after the eclipse, while the Sun follows on Friday. This means the eclipse revelation may continue developing overnight and into tomorrow.

Something may initially feel like an interruption.

Later, we may recognize it as information.

Something may first appear to destroy the plan.

Later, we may realize it revealed what the plan had failed to include.

Uranus does not always remove what matters.

Sometimes it breaks the structure that was preventing what matters from breathing.

The Eclipse Activates a Boomerang Yod

Pluto in Aquarius and Neptune in Aries form the base of a Yod pointing toward the Virgo Sun and Mercury. The Pisces eclipse Moon sits opposite that focal point, creating what astrologers often call a boomerang Yod.

This brings several enormous collective changes into one highly personal question:

“What does all of this require me to do differently in my actual human life?”

Pluto in Aquarius is transforming our relationship with communities, systems, technology, collective power and the future. Neptune in Aries is dissolving old ideas about identity, agency, spirituality and the separation between inspiration and action.

The Virgo Sun and Mercury attempt to translate those vast changes into:

• A plan

• A decision

• A routine

• A conversation

• A practical adjustment

• A healthier way of living

• A more accurate understanding

But the Pisces Moon reveals what cannot be solved by the mind alone.

The plan may be practical but emotionally untrue.

The explanation may be accurate but incomplete.

The responsibility may be real, but the way we have carried it may be unsustainable.

The pressure finds its release through the Moon:

• A feeling

• A dream

• A bodily response

• A moment of grief

• An intuitive recognition

• A truth we can no longer reason ourselves out of

Relationships and Collective Energy

Mars Approaches Saturn: Capacity Is Part of the Truth

Mars in Cancer continues approaching its September 1 square with Saturn in Aries. Mars in Cancer wants to protect, provide, care for family and respond when someone feels vulnerable. Saturn in Aries asks whether the action is appropriate, sustainable and genuinely ours to carry.

This may reveal:

• Emotional urgency meeting a practical limit

• Caregiving responsibilities exceeding one person’s capacity

• Family needs conflicting with the body’s needs

• Frustration because love cannot control an outcome

• Guilt about establishing a necessary boundary

• A plan that works only when someone continually overextends themselves

• The need to distinguish helping from assuming full responsibility

• The difference between being capable and being obligated

Saturn reminds us: Human capacity is not a measurement of love.

An arrangement that works only because one person is quietly absorbing every unsupported need does not truly work. A limit may not be preventing love. It may be requiring love to take a more sustainable form.

Jupiter Trine Saturn: Build Something Capable of Holding the Hope

Beneath the eclipse intensity, Jupiter in Leo approaches an exact trine with Saturn in Aries on August 31.

This is an important stabilizing presence.

Jupiter says: “More is possible.”

Saturn responds: “Then build something capable of holding it.”

The eclipse may not be destroying the dream. It may reveal what the dream requires:

• A clearer agreement

• Shared responsibility

• A realistic boundary

• A smaller but sustainable beginning

• A stronger practical foundation

• A revised timeline

• Honest assessment of resources

• The willingness to let something grow gradually

• A structure that protects both the vision and the people carrying it

Sometimes the truth changes the plan because the possibility deserves a plan that can survive.

Deneb: Follow the Light Before You See the Entire Path

The Pisces Moon sits closely beside Deneb, the bright guiding star in Cygnus, the Swan.

Deneb carries themes of creative intelligence, dignity, direction and following a light before the entire path is visible.

Tonight may not show us every step. It may show us what is true enough to guide the next one. We do not need to force a five-year plan from one emotional revelation. We only need enough honesty to stop walking in the direction we now know is wrong.

What This Energy May Feel Like

Today may feel like:

• Recognizing something mentally before feeling its emotional weight

• Feeling calm or detached during the morning and increasingly sensitive after noon

• Receiving unexpected information

• Realizing that a practical plan has ignored an emotional truth

• Feeling grief and relief simultaneously

• Recognizing that something is complete without having perfect closure

• Seeing an old pattern from 2008, 2024, 2025 or early 2026 differently

• Feeling unusually sensitive to noise, interruption or other people’s emotions

• Experiencing vivid dreams, symbolism or synchronicities

• Feeling frustrated when care meets a limit

• Discovering that understanding someone does not require continuing to accept the behavior

• Recognizing where compassion became self-abandonment

• Feeling a sudden desire to change direction

• Wanting an immediate answer after receiving surprising information

• Feeling physically tired while the mind remains highly active

• Realizing that a responsibility has outgrown the structure supporting it

• Sensing that something new is trying to enter before knowing what it will become

• Understanding that the old arrangement cannot accompany the person you are becoming

The presence of powerful emotion does not automatically mean something terrible is happening. Sometimes emotion is simply what occurs when the truth finally reaches the part of us that has been carrying it.

Supportive Actions for Today

• Separate what you know, what you feel, what you sense and what you are assuming.

• Acknowledge or write down revelations before making them responsible for an immediate decision.

• Allow a feeling to exist without turning it into a prediction.

• Verify unexpected information when possible.

• Reduce unnecessary stimulation.

• Give important conversations more room than usual.

• Listen to what your body says about the existing arrangement.

• Notice where compassion has quietly become obligation.

• Ask whether the plan works—or whether one person is making it appear workable.

• Let tears, grief or relief move without requiring an explanation.

• Avoid forcing a connection to August 2008 if none naturally appears.

• If an old memory returns, ask what you understand now that you could not understand then.

• Remember that an eclipse illuminates; it does not demand panic.

• Let the truth change the next step without demanding that it immediately explain the entire future.

The purpose is not to prove that the eclipses caused every event. It is to recognize whether your life has been telling a story that you are finally prepared to understand.

Aquarius and Leo: The Nodes and both August eclipses connect your signs to the transition between the departing and emerging eclipse stories. Questions of individuality, belonging, visibility, relationships and future direction remain strongly activated.

We often imagine truth as something that will make everything immediately clear.

We expect it to arrive like an answer at the bottom of a page:

Here is what happened.

Here is what it means.

Here is what you should do next.

But some truths do not arrive as answers.

They arrive as the realization that the old question is no longer large enough.

We may have spent years asking:

How do I make this work?

How do I help enough?

How do I explain myself so that everyone understands?

How do I become easier to love?

How do I repair what keeps hurting?

How do I keep all of this from changing?

Then one day, the truth arrives and asks:

Why have you decided that preserving this arrangement is your responsibility?

That question can feel disruptive.

It may bring grief because we recognize how much effort, love, hope or time we have invested. It may bring relief because some part of us has been waiting for permission to stop pretending the cost did not matter. It may bring fear because the old arrangement was familiar, even when it was painful.

And it may bring uncertainty because knowing what is no longer true does not automatically reveal what comes next.

Tonight, you do not need to force the entire future into view. You do not need to turn every emotion into a sign or every disruption into a catastrophe. You do not need to make a permanent decision from the first wave of feeling.

But you are allowed to acknowledge what has become visible. You are allowed to include your body in the evidence. You are allowed to recognize that compassion does not require continued self-abandonment. You are allowed to understand why something happened without agreeing to carry it forever. You are allowed to revise a dream when you discover what the dream genuinely requires.

You are allowed to let the truth change the plan.

An eclipse does not remove our conscious participation in reality. It reveals the places where we have been participating unconsciously; through inherited beliefs, repeated roles, fear, obligation or the assumption that what has always been must continue to be.

Tonight, the light changes.

And in that altered light, something may finally become visible.

Do not rush to turn away.

Do not rush to name the ending.

Simply become honest enough to see what is there. The entire path may not appear tonight.

But the next true step can.

Looking Ahead

Tonight at approximately 6:24 p.m. Pacific: The subtle penumbral eclipse begins.

Around 7:34 p.m.: The visible partial phase begins as the Moon enters Earth’s darker umbral shadow.

Around 9:13 p.m.: The eclipse reaches maximum, with 96.3% of the Moon’s visible disk inside the umbra.

Around 9:18 p.m.: The Pisces Full Moon becomes astrologically exact.

Around 10:17 p.m.: The Moon opposes Mercury, bringing the conversation between emotional truth and mental understanding into sharper focus.

Around 10:36 p.m.: The Moon squares Uranus. Feelings, information or circumstances may shift suddenly. Pause before turning the first reaction into the final decision.

Early Friday: Mercury squares Uranus, followed by the Sun–Uranus square later Friday. The revelation continues developing. New information may change the interpretation.

August 31: Jupiter trines Saturn, helping us begin building a more sustainable structure around what has been revealed.

September 1: Mars squares Saturn, testing whether the plan truly accounts for human capacity.

The eclipse reveals the truth.

The days ahead show us what the truth requires.
