Opening Note

A Little Hello Before We Begin ☕

Good morning, my Soul 101 family. 🤍

A quick reminder: the new forecast structure this week is preparing us for the upcoming membership change on Friday. The Opening Note, Emotional Weather Forecast and Theme of the day will remain free, with the deeper daily forecast becoming a paid offering that supports the time and care that go into creating it.

I’m still getting our new memberships ready and hope to share full details, along with links to join, in Thursday’s forecast. Thank you for giving this next chapter room to come together.

For now, let’s see what Wednesday has for us.

Your Emotional Weather Forecast 🌤️

🌡️ Temperature - Mild to warm. There's room for curiosity, engagement, and trying something different. Give enthusiasm a manageable task rather than your entire unfinished list.

🌧️ Precipitation - Scattered Sensitivity Showers. A practical frustration may feel more personal. Notice when “this isn’t working” starts becoming “I’m not doing enough.”

💨 Winds - Gusty early, with a less definite direction later. Keep some flexibility in your plans. If several options seem equally reasonable, choose a small next step without demanding certainty about the whole route.

⚠️ Warnings - Perfectionism and pressure to decide. Watch for repeatedly revising something that already meets its purpose, or forcing an answer simply because uncertainty feels uncomfortable.

⛅ Outlook - Room to adjust. The day’s invitation is to experiment, communicate, and reassess your capacity. A useful change can start small enough to try today.

Today’s Theme: Let a Small Change Make Life Easier

Yesterday, we made room for new understandings. Today, we can practice letting that understanding change something we actually do.

That might mean asking a clearer question, simplifying a routine, moving a task to a more realistic time, or admitting that the way we have always handled something takes more from us than it needs to.

With the Moon in Virgo and Mars connecting with Uranus, we have an energetic pairing of practical attention and experimentation.

The question is:

“What could I adjust that would make this work better for the person I am today?”

You might notice a problem and immediately begin assessing yourself: Why haven’t I figured this out? Why does this take me so long? Why can’t I keep up?

Try naming the difficulty more specifically.

“This task has too many steps.” “I don’t understand what is being asked.” “I need more time than I allowed.” “I’m tired, and everything is taking more effort.”

Those descriptions give you something you can respond to.

You can address a difficulty without turning it into a verdict on yourself.

A Little Pause Before We Go Deeper

As the membership change takes effect, this will be where our free daily forecast content ends. The Emotional Weather Forecast above will remain available to everyone.

Below this point, the full forecast explores the astrology in more depth, with emotional literacy reflections, supportive actions, and guidance for each Rising Sign. Access will be included with the forecast subscription and the full Soul 101 Membership. For now, I’m sharing the new format all this week, so you can get a feel for what best fits what you're looking for.

Heart Energy

Let Care Be Specific

The Virgo Moon offers a useful reminder that care often arrives through ordinary actions.

Someone remembers what you needed. You clear enough space to sit comfortably. You ask for help with one particular task instead of waiting until everything feels unmanageable.

The Moon’s sextile to retrograde Venus, becoming exact around 10:07 AM Pacific, gives us a moment to reflect on what feels supportive and what we have been assuming should feel supportive.

Consider:

“What would help me feel cared for today?”

Try answering in terms another person could understand.

“I need some space” might become: “Can we come back to this after I’ve had a minute?”

Specificity gives care somewhere to land. It also allows another person to respond honestly about what they can offer.

Mind, Body & Momentum

Try One Different Thing

Mars sextile Uranus becomes exact in the early morning, around 3:41 AM Pacific. Simply speaking, this is an invitation to experiment with how we act.

The Moon squares Uranus around 5:21 AM, adding a different note to the same conversation: a new approach can appeal to us while a change in plans still feels unsettling.

Both responses can exist together.

You might want an easier routine and feel awkward practicing it. You might welcome help and struggle to let someone complete a task differently than you would.

Before abandoning the experiment, ask:

“What specifically feels uncomfortable?”

There may be a real concern to address. Maybe you need clearer expectations. But it's also possible the new approach may simply still feel unfamiliar. Keep the experiment small enough to learn from. Notice whether the adjustment actually helps.

Perception & Possibility

When Nothing Has a Clear Pull

Around 11:56 AM Pacific, the Moon sextiles Mercury and begins an unusually long void-of-course period, lasting until it enters Libra at approximately 1:10 AM Friday.

Astologically, A Void Moon means it has completed its final major aspect to another planet before leaving its current sign. It can still form minor aspects, so “void” does not mean that nothing else happens in the sky.

Many describe these stretches as feeling less directed: several options may seem relatively equal, or a clear sense of “this is the next thing” may be harder to find.

If that is your experience, you don’t need to manufacture urgency to overcome it.

First, check what the decision requires:

  • Is there a deadline? Let the actual timing help you prioritize.

  • Is information missing? Find out what you can before choosing.

  • Are both options workable? A preference can be enough.

  • Are you depleted? A pause may help you check-in with yourself more clearly.

You can choose what is easier, more useful, or more appealing without proving it is the single best option.

This is an unusually long Void Moon period. But that doesn't mean we are all going to be wandering around lost, though granted, it can feel that way sometimes. Simply let it be a reminder to slow down and leave room for adjustment.

You can take the next honest small step before the entire direction feels clear.

Relationships, Worth & Personal Power

Give Your Needs Words

Venus is retrograde in Scorpio, with its square to Mars still approaching. This offers an ongoing reflection on desire, closeness, autonomy, and the ways we ask for what matters.

A helpful place to begin is noticing the difference between what you want and what you expect another person to infer. Perhaps you want appreciation, but keep doing more without mentioning your strain. Perhaps you need time to think, but you simply agree because you feel pressured to answer immediately.

When you catch that pattern, try speaking one step closer to the actual need:

“I absolutely want to help, but I need to be honest in what I can take on.”

“I honestly haven’t decided yet, is it ok if I give you an answer tomorrow?”

Clear language does not guarantee agreement, But it gives both people a more honest conversation to participate in.

Afternoon & Evening

Let Capacity Have a Vote

The Moon’s quincunx to Saturn around 3:17 PM Pacific gives us an adjustment point to work with energetically: what we intended to do may need to be brought into conversation with the energy, time, or resources we actually have.

If your afternoon to-do list begins to feel accusing, check the list before accepting the accusation.

What is genuinely time-sensitive? What can be completed in a simpler form? What needs a revised expectation or a conversation?

You can take responsibility by communicating a limit, changing a timeline, or asking for assistance.

As evening arrives, give yourself a recognizable stopping point. Then name what was completed and make a clear note about what comes next tomorrow. That can make it easier to set the unfinished work down for the night.

What Today May Feel Like

  • Finding a small improvement that makes a familiar task easier.

  • Feeling excited about a change and uncomfortable with its unfamiliarity.

  • Wanting to organize something, then realizing you need rest first.

  • Having several reasonable choices without a strong preference.

  • Finding more precise words for a need you have struggled to explain.

  • Catching yourself treating an unfinished task as evidence that you have fallen short.

You may recognize any one of these or experience a perfectly ordinary Wednesday. Use the reflections that help you understand your actual day.

Supportive Actions

  • Name the practical problem. Give yourself a description you can work with.

  • Try one small adjustment. Notice its effect before changing everything else.

  • Make one specific request. Help someone understand what support would look like.

  • Give a minor decision a time limit. When either option will work, let “good enough” be enough to proceed.

  • Check your capacity before adding a commitment. Include the effort already spent today.

  • Leave yourself a clear next step. “Open the draft and revise the first paragraph” is easier to return to than “finish everything.”

Where This May Show Up

Read By Rising Sign

Aries Rising: Daily routines, work, and practical care receive the Virgo Moon’s attention. Look for one recurring task you could simplify. A routine earns its place by helping you live.

Taurus Rising: Creativity, enjoyment, and self-expression come into focus. Give yourself room to try something without immediately evaluating whether you are good at it. Pleasure can be worth your time.

Gemini Rising: Home, privacy, and your personal foundation invite attention. Consider one adjustment that would make your space easier to inhabit or your downtime easier to protect.

Cancer Rising: Conversations, errands, and everyday information may occupy your attention. Ask the clarifying question. One precise answer can save you from planning around an assumption.

Leo Rising: Money, belongings, and personal resources invite practical review. Notice what you use, what you need, and what you are maintaining out of habit. Let your choices reflect their actual value to you.

Virgo Rising: With the Moon in your sign, check in with your own preferences before organizing yourself around everyone else’s needs. What would make today feel more manageable for you?

Libra Rising: Rest, privacy, and work behind the scenes may need more room. Reduce unnecessary input where you can. You are allowed to take time to understand your response before explaining it.

Scorpio Rising: Friendships, community, and longer-term hopes come into focus. Look for a small, honest way to participate. Connection does not require offering more than you have available.

Sagittarius Rising: Work, responsibilities, and visibility invite attention. Clarify what a task actually requires before adding extra standards. A clear agreement can make follow-through much easier.

Capricorn Rising: Learning, perspective, and future possibilities draw your attention. Explore an idea without requiring yourself to adopt it immediately. A useful question can bring a worthwhile result.

Aquarius Rising: Shared responsibilities, resources, and trust may benefit from a closer look. Name an expectation that has remained unspoken. Specific agreements give everyone something clearer to work with.

Pisces Rising: Partnerships and one-to-one interactions come into focus. Ask what the other person means, and give your own meaning equal care. Understanding grows through the conversation.

A Note from Mandy

Sometimes I wonder how often we say “no” when what we really mean is, “I don’t know what that would look like.”

We don’t know how we would manage it, whether we would enjoy it, or what might be expected of us. And without a clear picture, it can feel easier to close the door than stand there with a question.

But it’s okay not to know yet.

We can ask a question. Find out what is actually involved. Give ourselves time to consider something. Often, there’s a small way to try it before making a larger commitment.

There is a difference between “I know this isn’t right for me” and “I haven’t learned enough about this to know.” Both deserve to be heard accurately. Your no is still yours to give; curiosity doesn’t obligate you to say yes.

Today, if you catch yourself closing a door, gently ask:

“Do I know I don’t want this, or am I uncomfortable because I can’t picture it yet?”

You don’t have to force an answer. “I’m willing to find out a little more” can be a complete next step.

With Love,

Mandy🤍

Looking Ahead

The Moon remains in Virgo throughout Thursday, continuing the long void period before entering Libra early Friday.

We’ll carry forward our attention to what needs completing, simplifying, or reconsidering as we approach Saturday’s New Moon. There is room to notice what you want to take into the next chapter and what you no longer need to carry in quite the same way.
